Updating Projects

I've decided to post some updates of WIPs.

Let's start with my American Beauty rose from Debbee's Designs.

It seems I only work on this in January and there is a reason for this.

My grandmother loved roses. In fact, the thing she disliked most about living in Florida was that she couldn't easily grow roses. And her birthday was in January so I'm thinking of her more than usual. And that makes me pull out this project.

Details are - 2,916 4x4 squares. Eight different threads each with its own stitch.

I would love to just plow through on this. But after a couple of hours, all that red begins to get to me. So I'll continue my slow progress. It's about 20% finished.

Shower Kitty

We had our Guild meeting yesterday when I got to hand over the gavel to a new president. What a wonderful group of people I've been able to work with. They made me a fabulous scrapbook so I will never forget the fun!

And I got to bring my framed shower Kitty. Isn't she a delight?

Those Pesky Intentions

I had every intention of coming here and posting Camp Wannastitch progress.

No time. No way. No how.

But here is a piece back from the finisher this week.

I got this at Garden District Needlework in New Orleans a few years ago.

Happy days!

Studio Improvement

On Saturday we had some new windows installed. Which necessitated my moving everything to one side of the room.

Today is move it back day and pack for Camp Wannastitch.

Room is definitely warmer and I may use it more in the winter months now.

Leaving for Camp Friday morning, returning Monday at dinner time. This will be my 4th year attending and I have so much fun. Now what projects to bring?
