Day Thirty Eight

 The day in which I fail to take a single stitch.

Sigh. It was going to happen. Just home from vacation and work, preparing the house for new cats(!), meeting a May 1st deadline, etc. All too much.

Came home yesterday prepared to stitch. Even threaded the needle. But I picked up my IPad and played a game. And after dinner just caught up with Call the Midwife.

Today we welcome a pair of orange tabby brothers into our lives. Get ready for cat photos! 

Day Thirty Seven

 Back in the swing of things like I never left. Work day. Not too much stitching. But I got a color that I like better for the sky.

Day Thirty Six

A long drive. Very little stitching. I did two threads. No photo because I'm exhausted.

I'm going to miss this view. And that sound. 

Day Thirty Five

 And we have a finish. One Easter background from Kathy Shenkel Designs. I'll trim the bunny tails after finishing.

 Nearly finished the grass. Maybe more stitching tonight?

 More sky and that's done. Still making the grass grow.

Day Thirty One & Two

 A trip to the mountains of New Hampshire and an age 8 baseball game. Not a lot of stitching time, but I'm determined to finish the sky.

 A little vacation going on. But I'm still stitching.

A little more grass. A jelly bean car.

Ocean is much calmer today.

Day Twenty Nine

 Ah. I did stitch on Day 29, but forgot to take a photo because I was packing, etc.

One more ornament. No idea of the designer, but I did buy it in Honolulu. At Fiddlesticks, I think.

Day Twenty Eight

 The spring weather continues to see-saw. One day it's 80, then back to the 50s. Definitely lots of pollen. I stitched outside for a bit in the sun.

Day Twenty Seven

 So having finished an ornament on Thursday, I started another yesterday. But it's meant to be a trip project. That meant I should pick up something else.

My Kathy Shenkel Easter background. Today I stitched sky and grass and beaded the flowers. 

I have one more stand alone girl bunny to stitch. When all is done, I'll have four bunnies, one chick, and two carrots. Maybe I should get another chick? 

Day Twenty Six

 Started a new ornament, then I remembered this Kathy Shenkel Easter canvas. Stitched more sky today.

Day Twenty Five, A Finish

 One unicorn! Another goal met. Stitched and I can put it in for finishing before the deadline.

She's a sparkly thing, for sure.

 A day late again. Packing projects for a trip. Board meeting. Etc.

But here's where I ended yesterday.

 Busy day at work, but I put in a couple of threads.

Listened to a fabulous lecture by Harriet Alonso sponsored by the EGA. Go ahead. Look her up.

Which means I had time to make progress on my third ornament for the grandgirls. 

Day Twenty

 Day Twenty was yesterday, April 8th. Stitching was done. I just forgot to document the fact.

Almost finished the church.

Day Nineteen

 Time to kick out the third of three ornaments for the grandgirls.

This one is a unicorn from My Pink Sugar Life for our girliest girl.

Day Eighteen

 Phew. Just finished the sky! A church a few trees, and a snowy hillside to go. I think when I measured it, it's 23 1/2" long.

Day Seventeen

 So close. But honestly my hand hurts otherwise I keep going tonight.

Day Sixteen

 I would say that I am fairly motivated to finish this canvas. But, argh. So much sky. Getting closer.

Day Fifteen

 I've got three skeins of Stream left. I am thinking I may only need one. If I get into a second skein, I won't need much. It's going to be nice to get to the end of the sky.

 No real stitching time today. Literally one thread.

 It's a Friday night so I'm stitching while watching RuPaul's Drag Race, one of my guilty pleasures.
