Today I found my Christmas Spirit in a strange place - the meat counter at Wegmans.
What a zoo. I could only laugh.
And made some other people smile and laugh, too.
Better to rejoice and be happy than be frazzled and vexed.
In the spirit of rejoicing, here are the latest two things I've had framed.
The orange love piece is an original creation. You can tell by its imperfections. It makes me smile every time I look at it. It's been hanging with Santa for a few days. Totally ruins the seasonal color scheme, but I don't care.
The blue piece was an ANG correspondence course, Ghordian Knot, by Rachel Atkinson that I did last year.
Photo doesn't begin to do it justice. It's stunning.
I love it when a plan works out! Needle felting the base for the shower cap allowed me to get the exact shape I wanted.
Then Lori at Waste Knot Needlepoint suggested ruching Sparkle Rays for the ruffle which was way easier and quicker than what I was planning.
Isn't it great?
Now to add whiskers and finish the tub.
Also had a small ornament finish which is what happens when you hang out at a car dealership and come home with a new car. I bought this in New Orleans - it's the Cathedral at night. I've already shipped it off to the finisher. Can't wait to see what she does.
