Something I Did Not Do

Between framing and having to go back to the framers and exhibiting at Woodlawn, my finish of Stars of the New Millenium was never published here on my blog in all its finished glory. 

Just a warning - it's really pink. 

When I got it home again from Woodlawn I brought it upstairs to our bedroom where I leaned it against a chair waiting for the day I would decide exactly where to hang it. 

One day I brought up a hanger and the hammer so I could accomplish this task. 

Did I?

Of course not.

The hammer sat on the hope chest. The framed piece sat on the floor. 

For months. 

A couple of weeks ago, I did finally climb on a chair and apply force to said hammer. 

And voila!

Sorry about the glare from the flash, but photos taken without the flash were not adequate. Years from now I might rethink that pink mat. It is really, really pink. But we tried like the dickens to match my neutrals and could not do it in a way that was pleasing. And putting the blue on top was just too much. I do love the silver frame. 

And now I get to look at it every day. Which is what truly makes me happy. 

P.S. This was my framing budget for the entire year basically. I've got tons of things that need framing. In 2013.
