Today our son is 22. He was born in a German hospital where the only person who spoke any English was the doctor I saw once a day on rounds. After 3 years in Germany, I could handle basic German, but did not have a single word of understanding of anything having to do with medical terminology. What a fun experience that was!

Happy Birthday to your son - the 15th is my birthday too (a great date to be born on)!
Where in Germany were you stationed? We spent 6 years at Schwabisch Hall and loved it.
