Bargello Pillows

My niece shared a wonderful retro post tribute to bargello pillows with me on facebook.

And I'm sharing it with you here.

Funny how things come around again with time.

I've never had the desire to midcentury modernize my midcentury house (although I am adamant about keeping the Mamie pink tile). (And built in 1954, it really is midcentury!)

Bargello was the straw that broke the camel's back with my mother teaching me needlework. I can do it now, but for some reason, when I was a kid, I just *could* *not* *get* it.

Thank you for linking to my blog. I adore bargello and other forms of midcentury needlework, and write about it as often as I can. Adore Erica Wilson, for example!

I always think of bargello as 'old fashioned'. These pictures show how well they go with many different styles. Thanks for the retrospective!
