Now Showing at the Bijou

A very special movie starring Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Marlon Brando, Eva Marie Saint, Cary Grant, Deborah Kerr, Gregory Peck, Ava Gardener, Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Gary Cooper!

That's quite a list of STARS!

I stayed home and stayed off the computer yesterday in order to finish Stars for a New Millenium. This means I finished Gary Cooper.

He's quite dashing in this role.

I ripped and fixed the four areas that needed replacing. And then finished the border and border corners last night at Tuesday Night stitching. So I had friends with me to share my finish!

Came home and had a glass of bourbon, but that's a whole 'nother story.

It took me two years to reach the finish line on this piece. And it seems fitting that I started and ended right at cherry blossom time. Two years is a long time. But I obvious ignored Stars for weeks and months.

To my friends who started this piece with me, keep going! If I can finish, so can you.

edit:  I forgot to say thank you to Tony Minnieri the designer of Stars. I firmly believe that you're an evil genius.

Yay! I love it!

I really need to add this one to my stash. I've seen so many of you wonderful stitchers make such great color choices. I think that the education I'm getting in From Molehill to Mountain that I'll have the courage to work through Stars.

I've asked for the book for my birthday, we'll see if my family comes through. ;)
