
This one nearly killed all desire for stitching. I did not pick it out. It was a gift my MIL. Hated the colors. Did not enjoy stitching it. Finished it while living at Ft. Ord in CA so that was probably 1995.
I didn't stitch for more than a year after I finished this piece. And that's when I resolved to only stitch for me. I stopped making gifts for other people. Though now I occasionally do something, it is no longer my priority to stitch gifts. Now I stitch what I love.

That peice would have killed my desire too! I should take a page from your book... But most of my recipients do let me choose.
