You should like The Summer Tree (Guy Gavriel Kay) and the Robertson Davies, but I agree about skipping Ulysses. If you could finish The Time Traveler's Wife and The Clan of the Cave Bear without nausea, the rest should be a breeze. I quite liked War and Peace. I've read it twice.

That book list was definitely weighted in my favor - lots of classics and scifi/fantasy type books.

I really will read anything. Right now it's a Henry VIII bio as DD and I saw The Other Boleyn Girl on Saturday.

You SHOULD read Fifth Business...it is the first of a trilogy and is pretty incredible. I can send it to you if you want (or even bring it)
