There may be some of you out there that still need to thank a Veteran. I can hug mine for you!
Felt slightly guilty at leaving him, but my EGA chapter held its meeting regardless of the holiday. And I went.
And I beaded a cabochon.
And it's pretty cool.
Photo tomorrow 'cause right now it's all gray, dark, dank, and dreary. Remnants of Ida, indeed.

Know all about gray, dark, dank, and dreary because of Ida. Just listened to the evening news and they say we got 4.83" of gray, dark, dank, and dreary just today compliments of Ida. Can't wait to see your cabochon.
Donna, I wanted to figure out a way to say this all day yesterday, but I just didn't come up with the right words. So if you'll forgive my blathering...here goes.
Everytime I feel sorry for myself that "nobody loves me" or that I'm "a lonely old spinster" or...blah blah blah, I think about the men and women in the military who are doing what they do. For ME. So that I can be safe and free and spoiled and happy and live my stupid little life in a wonderful place.
Thank you. Thank you for having a husband who does this for me. Thank you for being his wife and supporting him and for letting me know that there is inded somebody out there who embodies all that is noble and brave and perfect in this world.
There is no way that I would ever be able to repay that debt, but I promise to keep all of our soldiers and veterans in my thoughts and prayers each and every day.
