Dreaming

How I know I've been paying close attention to the blog posts and other writings about seminar? Last night I dreamed I was there. Right down to that anxious, excited feeling at the beginning of the first class. Which was a four-day class in some exotic, incredibly difficult technique. Did I wake up wishing this dream was true? You bet I did.

But before I get to go to EGA National Seminar in Naples next year, we're going to New Orleans in November. Happy Days! DH asked me if I wanted to tag along on this trip and that would be a huge YES! I'm not certain why I have a fixation with this place, but I have always wanted to go and I'm not passing up an opportunity like this. Just bought my plane tix this morning.

Anyone with any advice/recommendations on this trip, please feel free to comment or e-mail me. Thanks!

You must go to Cafe du Monde for their beignets and coffee. A must, must, must. Don't even think twice about it - just do it!

I loved visiting the French Quarter and the antique shops as well.

You will absolutely love the city. They have a wonderfgul zoo. The food is the greatest! The river front is really nice. I could go on but I won't. LOL Have a great trip.

I've never been there either, so I'm very jealous!

It's been a while since I have been there, so I don't know if the wonderful needlepoint store in the French Quarter is still there, but if it is, GO. Wonderful local patterns. Besides Cafe du Monde (I'd go there EVERY morning), we love Susan Spicer's restaurant Bayonna. Nola is good as is K Paul's. Have never had a bad meal in New Orleans. There is too much competition! LOL.
