Last year I designed a small band sampler for my EGA Chapter as we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. We have a great tradition of anniversary projects. My only limitations were to incorporate the colors of coral and jade. Which sort of explains the untraditional sampler colors occurring here. I've had this kitted since July and finally really started making progress in December. It's only 77 stitches wide. Feels great to be working with floss on Glenshee linen again.

First Finish of 2019

Traveling
I love 13ct canvas when I'm traveling. This piece is a Kelly Clark canvas I kitted to take on a trip last year But I never took a stitch.
I wish the shine of the Kreinik photographed better.

Happy New Year
In the past I've stated here at this time of year that I am bad at stating goals and following through. That hasn't changed a bit.
I have good intentions of posting here more frequently. We'll see.
Anyway this pillow was a Christmas gift for my sister who lost her husband last January. She has had a crow following her around since then.
When I saw this Pippin canvas I knew I had to stitch it for her.
Just basketweave with Planet Earth silk. Simple, yet elegant.

Oh Cr@p
How did I let so much time pass before posting? Well, a kidney infection followed by a virus with a high fever and hives. And suddenly I lost two weeks of preparation for the Christmas season.
So here are some ornaments I added to my tree this year. A retired Treglown canvas that I chose to take on my trip to Italy last year. I love 13 ct for traveling. And two sweaters from Studio Midwest. One for my hubby and one for me.

Thanks for the Reminder
So reading the Bloggess reminded me I haven't updated in nearly a month.
That's because I've been in gift making mode.
My labors are almost finished and soon I can post photos again.
So this is a I'm still standing post.

#gottabead part II
Then I finished my fence. Ripped out the top which I will redo, paying more attention. Started my purple background and I'm pleased. BTW, this is a Cheryl Schaeffer canvas.

#gottabead
I went off to Seminar thinking of beading which is weird as neither of my classes involved beads.
And we even stopped at a bead store, oops, two beads stores where I didn't buy beads.
I was even dreaming about beading
So I bought two Fern Ridge scissor fob kits from ABC Stitch which ran the shop at Seminar.
I did the peyote part of Salty Halloween on Wednesday and the fringe today. I love a quick project that looks so great. Tremendous satisfaction to be had.
But apparently that isn't enough Because I resurrected this canvas that I started last January. I went a bit astray on the right side of the moon. So today I ripped and began that section again. Funny, I never realized how crooked this canvas is until I was looking at the photo. Don't think I'll attempt to fix that. Lol.

Home Again
Unfortunately our time in Louisville has run out. Out of the hotel around 7 and off to Wild Eggs for coffee and sustenance.
My travel companions son insisted we stop in Lesage at Hillbilly Hotdogs. So we did.
True work of American kitsch here.
We ate on a bus. And admired all the signatures of previous customers
Bye, bye Louisville. You were grand.
