New Englanders say funny things

So I'm listening to my favorite public radio station in the car yesterday and I'm not really listening to the people on the program until I hear this woman say "And we bang a right."

Oh how I miss home sometimes.

I think I need to further disseminate the use of this. Usually it's used in the imperative by the non-driver of a vehicle to direct the driver. Alternative phrase - hang a right. But I like bang better.

You mean other people don't say that?
